I need a blanket burrito
Maybe a warm cup of tea
A tap or two on my shoulder
'It’ll be okay' you promise me
Instead I’m shoved in an ambulance
Cops and nurses on either side
Injected and shoved in a padded cell
Sedatives numbing the tide
Reality falls on deaf ears
Distortions growing in size
I'm taken over and over again
Old pain is swept outside
guarantee we’ll survive every flow and ebb of tides we don’t control but thrive in spite of silly choices silly people silly fingers through the peephole empty words could never cut we’ve been through worse it’s not for us and so we remain simple unbothered opened
